John E. “Jeb” Ball

Jeb Ball is the founder of Guideboat Advisors, a boutique advisory firm based in Charlotte.

Prior to founding Guideboat Advisors in 2018, Jeb was a Managing Director at Brookwood Associates, a middle market investment banking boutique based in Atlanta from 2003 through 2017. Prior to Brookwood, he was a Managing Director in the Consumer and Retail Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York (formerly known as Banc of America Securities).

Jeb has more than 25 years of experience advising senior management teams, boards of directors and business owners in a variety of strategic and financial transactions including: exclusive sale assignments, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, divestitures, public debt and equity offerings, private debt and equity placements as well as various other strategic advisory engagements. His industry experience and expertise includes, restaurants, hospitality, specialty retail and various other service businesses.

He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events and is a sought-after media source on industry matters.

Jeb earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison.
